Can you print on hi-vis workwear?
Yes. DTF prints sharply on hi-vis polyester, holds up to industrial laundering, and works in any colour. We can't print over reflective tape — but we can print around it.
DTF works great on hi-vis
Hi-vis garments are usually high-polyester fabric — slick, bright, and tough on print methods that weren't built for synthetics. DTF handles it without drama.
The print sits cleanly on the fluoro fabric, colours stay vivid, and it survives the wash cycles that workwear gets put through. Our DTF prints are rated for 75+ washes, and hi-vis prints generally outlast that easily when looked after.
The print also doesn't crack when the garment stretches — important for hi-vis polos and softshells that get worn all day.
What about reflective tape
We can't print over reflective tape. The reflective material isn't fabric, so DTF won't bond to it. Anything we tried to print on top would peel.
What we can do is print around the tape — chest prints, back prints, sleeve prints, all fine as long as they sit on the fabric rather than the reflective bands. Most workwear designs land on the front pocket area or upper back, both of which are clear of tape.
If you're not sure whether your design will fit, send us the garment details and the artwork — we'll mock it up on a proof before printing, and you can see exactly where the print sits relative to the tape.
What hi-vis garments we stock
We carry hi-vis ranges from the major workwear brands stocked in Australia — Syzmik, JB's Wear, DNC, and Stencil. Polos, long sleeves, jackets, vests, and full Class D/N compliant gear.
If you've got a specific style and brand in mind, search the product range or ask. Most major workwear lines are available even if they're not on the front page.
Two ways to set up the design
Easy Upload is the fastest path for company logos. If you've got a logo from your designer, drop it in and we'll position it on the garment for your proof.
Interactive Design Studio is useful for adding crew names, role titles, or building a layout from scratch. You can add text, position elements, choose colours, and see it on a hi-vis garment preview before checking out.
Common workwear use cases
Standard workwear prints are usually a chest logo plus a larger back print. Sleeve prints (initials, role abbreviations) are also common.
For larger fleets — 20+ shirts with personalised names — group the order in one go. You get the bulk discount on the company logo, and individual names add a small per-piece personalisation fee.
We can hold artwork on file for repeat orders. Re-orders of the same setup skip the proof step and ship faster.
