We get asked this question a lot! We've written an article about the differences that you can read here.
Both look the same when applied to a surface but there are a couple of key differences:
Die Cut Stickers: The easiest way to picture a Die Cut Sticker is to think of a shape. A Die Cut sticker will be cut to the exact shape meaning there is no excess backing sheet around the design. This type of sticker is great for handing out to customers or placing on your front counter in a neat stack. As each piece is an individual unit with no white space around it, your design really stands out.
Sheet Stickers (Kiss Cut): Like with their Die Cut counterparts, the cut line will still be around the edge of your design. It will still follow the exact shape of your design, but extra material will be placed around your design as padding or if your order contains lots of small stickers you will get many placed on a sheet. This achieves a couple of key benefits. Firstly your stickers will gain protection particularly around the edges from being bent or damaged during transport, this is important for intricate designs. Secondly, they are easier to peel and stick as you dont have have to try and "find a corner" to begin peeling. This may be important if you have a lot of sticking to do!
